Rules of conduct

You are required to comply with applicable laws and regulations and to maintain appropriate, correct, and respectful behavior within the Library.

Please note that the following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Damaging library materials or equipment in any way
  • Stealing books, documents, or library property
  • Marking or writing on library books or documents
  • Disturbing study or work in any form
  • Using mobile phones in reading and reference rooms
  • Consuming food or beverages (except water) in reading and reference rooms
  • Smoking or using electronic smoking devices
  • Bringing animals into the Library (except guide dogs for the visually impaired)
  • Accessing book storage areas without explicit temporary authorization
  • Tampering with the Library’s computer hardware or software
  • Using emergency exits except in case of actual emergencies
  • Carrying out sales, exchanges, advertising, propaganda, signature collections, or surveys without prior authorization
  • Leaving books or personal belongings unattended (the Library is not responsible for theft or loss)
  • Reserving reading spaces unnecessarily or occupying them longer than needed
  • Entering staff offices without authorization


Violations of these rules may result in a verbal warning or, in serious cases, suspension from Library services.

You are required to check for any service updates or notices, which may be:

  • Published on the Library website
  • Posted on Library premises
  • Communicated verbally or by telephone by Library staff
