Get FactSet and LSEG Workspace certifications

Do you want to enhance your CV with certifications in the economic and financial field?

FactSet and LSEG Workspace offer certification programs on how to use their platforms.

On this page, we explain how to access them.

Factset

FactSet offers students the opportunity to earn several certifications for free, organized into various thematic tracks that can be chosen according to individual interests.

Each learning track is structured into eLearning modules that conclude with a final quiz. Once the quiz is passed, students can obtain a digital badge to add to their CV and LinkedIn profile.

The video content is designed for flexible use: it can be paused and resumed at any time, allowing, for example, gradual learning (even just a few minutes per day). As for the final quiz, a maximum of two attempts are allowed.

How to get access to certification tracks

  1. Check out the full offering on the dedicated page: FactSet Certificates.
  2. Log in with your FactSet account. You can create one on your own (also for platform use) at this link.
  3. Choose the track that interests you, follow the learning materials, and complete the final test.
  4. Download your certificate.

LSEG Workspace

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group), through its LSEG Academy – Learning Centre, offers a series of online certification programs designed to develop skills in financial markets, data analysis, and risk management. The courses are delivered via e-learning, accessible independently, and include a final assessment that allows participants to obtain a certificate recognized internationally.

Common features of the programs:

  • Online and self-paced learning
  • Short, structured modules
  • Final competency assessment
  • Issuance of a digital certificate that can be shared (e.g., on LinkedIn)

You can view the available programs and register for them directly in the Learning Center – Certification section of the LSEG website.

How to get the certifications

  1. From the Certifications section of the Learning Center, choose the track that interests you and click on "View Course."
  2. Click "Access Certification." A side box will open where you can log in (if you already have an account) or create one for free by entering your institutional email and clicking "Get Access."
  3. Once you complete the registration process, you will be able to access all available tracks, watch the videos, complete the final test, and obtain the certificate to include in your CV.

You can take these certification programs even without an individual license for the database.

However, if you need to practice on the platform, you can use the dedicated workstation in BEM, which can be booked through the Affluences app (select the resource "PC Datastream / LSEG").
