Springer has informed CRUI, which negotiates and administers the national agreement, that the fund allocated to publications in hybrid journals will be exhausted on Friday, 19 [of the current month].
Consequently, the only remaining option for publishing in these titles is the traditional subscription-based model.
The possibility of benefiting from a 15% discount remains available, thanks to the supporter membership subscribed to by the University of Turin, for journals published under the Biomed Central imprint (Springer Nature publishing group) and for Springer Gold Open Access titles.
Wiley has also informed CRUI, which negotiates and manages the national agreement, that the fund covering publications in both hybrid journals and gold journals has been exhausted.
The only remaining option for publishing in the publisher’s hybrid journals will be the traditional subscription-based model, while for Gold Open Access journals the costs will be borne by the authors.
